Type into google what percentage do sz work once he reads it 10% to 15% work. he won’t be such a prick about me working. It said 70 to 90% rely on disability so ya that should shut him up.. he must of read it now response In a while
A lot of people are really uneducated when it comes to schizophrenia. Its a debilitating illness. Most of us can’t work
my sister is the same…my dad when he was alive thought I should have worked…he’s gone now…now he knows…
I’ve tried working… It never worked… My mom tried telling me… I feel so useless
Even my pdoc made a comment about me watching tv all day doing nothing but man I’m mentally not well I’m very weak I wish people would understand that
I can only handle very part time work. I’m not working now but will need to if we want to eat. Our disability isn’t enough but it’s over the limit for food benefits. I am trying to get healthy enough to keep a job before going back to work
The problem with working for me is schedule, sleep, and daily fluctuations of symptoms. Some days I could work but others not. But I don’t know if I could work like every shift required which is the problem. You can’t know if you’ll feel okay or not to work when they schedule you. I don’t handle stress well either so I’d have to have an easy job. I liked my old job but was way sicker and just stopped showing up sometimes.
I’m the same. There are days where I want to/feel up to working, and then the next day I’m exhausted and can’t work. My mom suggested a gig job, but I’m not sure. DoorDashing would suck, IMO
Having a job your passionate about can make the trade offs worth it
