I was not able to get my inection today, despite it being scheduled

I get my medicine through a patience assistance program through the manufacture. When I arrived for my injection today, I was told that the AP had not come in yet. They told me it would probably be in around noon and they would call when it comes in.

So we go to my parents (its in the same city as my doctors office) to kill some time. We spend some time there and it gets to be about 12:45 and my wife starts getting crabby. She wants to go home where she can “get some stufff done”.

So we leave and stop at the doctors office on the way out of town. By now its past 1pm. The pharmacist checks various things to see if it arrives and contacts the nurse. Its not in yet. The nurse says she will call when its in.

So, I’m a little irritated because of the waiting and my wife pressuring to head back home. So I tell the pharmacist that we cant wait around in town all day. That we are going home. When she calls we can just come back tomorrow.

I waited all day for a call from the office and they still have not called me yet.

I hope they get it in tomorrow because the weekend is coming up and I wont be able to get the injection until Monday if they dont get it in tomorrow.

So, lucky me, I get to call their damn automated phone line tomorrow and try to leavee a meassage so I can then drive all over hell again to try to get my injections.

Fun stuff.

I’m so sorry! That sucks. I hate not having meds and dealing with a pharmacy. Both are awful seperately but together, they’re the worst!

Your wife should understand how important that med is for you, and be more accommodating.

I’m sorry you didn’t get it yet. Hopefully before Monday though

I got my injection today and I have no idea how the insurance worked

An injection would help me with treatment adherence but I don’t think they have the equivalent of 8mg risperidone. I would be stressed as hell if I couldn’t get my injection though.
