There’s no such thing. All families got some freaky deaky going on, but in some cases they hide it much better. The ideal to aim for is a family situation where the pleasure outweighs the pain.

Avoidance is my pleasure, im 47 now and prefer my own company, less drama, more comfortable being by myself most of the time. Hubby is always in the other room so we dont see much of each other but im okay with that, just be glad when neighbours move and i get some peace. My family were abusive and are weird, more weird than average. Ive no patience for people, people suck. No offense to anyone here i respect peoples space.

Same here. In a few days, hopefully I won’t hear Christmas music again until next November. I can take only so much Mariah Carey. I don’t get into Christmas or New Year’s anyway.

I recently learned that my country didn’t celebrate Christmas until after 1960, we thought it was too extravagent but we always had a celebration on the New year, we do both now, I have been a bit more relaxed this year. I think its ok to have a quiet Christmas, if you need some time and space to relax.

Sorry @Signless i was just having a small meltdown tonight. Theres only so much stress i can take and then i got my headphones on for a while.
I hope your okay and your weekend is better than mine was? Im laughing at someone quietly in my head, oh karma is good sometimes, except when its ourselves lol my neighbours are in an overcrowded flat with moany kids and dirty floors at least im not living as bad as they are lol

I enjoy the winter holidays because they give me something to look forward to, but I also understand that they can be stressful and depressing for a lot of people who are in various situations in life.
