It seems like a luxury

But it’s both a necessity and luxury. I have an ice maker in my apartment, before that I could only make a limited amount of ice in my freezer which is small so I was always running out of ice. I drink a lot of soda I make in my Sodastream and flavored water and I like to have it any time I want with ice and my refrigerator has no room for soda. So I spent $70 on an ice maker and I’m happy with it. It may be a luxury because in the last ten years I haven’t heard of even one other person who uses one. It makes about 1.3 pounds every 25-30 minutes, about 26 pounds a day but I don’t use 26 pounds.

Which one do you have @77nick77? Most ice machines cost like, $400. $70 sounds like a great deal.

Euhomy. It got decent reviews and ChatGPT says it’s a good brand especially for the price. It’s a small portable model.

I just got my countertop ice maker last week! It was $57 plus $20 shipping…here’s what the very first batch looked like. Mine starts dispensing ice around 10 minutes after i fill it and turn it on. I got it so I’d have some ice for making smoothies and cold sodas…

I have an ice maker. I use it everyday. It’s my favorite machine.

I don’t eat ice or drink things with ice. I even use frozen berries for my protein smoothie instead of ice. But I still think you made a great decision buying that machine. You found a fabulous deal and researched it beforehand. And you love ice in your homemade pop. It’s a win win!
