Thanks for the support bro.. I think im gonna rework the guitar and try to repeat phrases with some variation. Idk would i always go with like a solo feel instead of melodic stuff… I think im gonna have to train myself man. Lol

Thats whats up bro. For some reason its how I think jazz guitar sounds lol I think the verses were a little better but im definitely trying to find a balance. My expression is diffrent than what people would actually listen to so I have to find a balance .

Homest question man…how much of the melody that you posted was because of learning vs just experience?
I ask because I told my therapist i might want to get some schooling in music. At the least some serious course work

Tbh the melody was there in my dreams, or that’s what I think. It was like the OST for a random dream I just had, I don’t know if you have had that experience.
On the other hand, no way I could have gone to the piano and put the chords below instinctively and structure the melody making sense without a solid base of music theory in 10 minutes.
The other thing that helps is knowing a lot lf songs already, because memorizing songs is a trainable skill. So when inspiration comes, you can remember how the song in your head goes…

I think i do the same thing with mindlessness..alot of my melodies and songs come straight feom the hipe. When I can plan it out it sounds good too tho.
I know you have been in music for a min so it makes sense that you would have such a greate melody in your head. I feel like it sounds extremely professional tho man…

If there’s something that has helped me a lot is consuming massive quantities of music, from a lot of genres. Active listening (trying to figure out what’s happening) and getting those songs that you like in your instrument of choice.
