tbh i dont think gaming is rest. i think its recreation which is like mental rest in a way… its play… similar to casual socializing, but its certainly not bodily rest. it used your eyes and can physically exaust someone being physically on edge for hours with adrenaline running through your body.
So i think its separate from bodily rest…. which is important… one thing i wanted to add and that i think might help you is… not only seeking rest but doing things that help your body rest: Massage, taking meds, sauna, showering, hygiene etc… all put you in a place where when its time to rest, to where you CAN.
