Mattress problems

I need a new mattress, the one I’m sleeping on now sags on the side because I sit there all the time when I drink soda and use my laptop. It sags so much that when I get up in the morning my back hurts from sleeping. The only problem is I don’t have $600 or $800 to buy a new mattress. I have degenerative arthritis of my lower back and my current mattress is really aggravating it. I don’t know what I’m going to do.

Could you try putting on a mattress pad and sticking plywood under the mattress?

For years I bought £60 foam mattresses off eBay

They have a few inches of normal foam and then topped with memory foam

When they are delivered it’s vacuum sealed in a roll and you leave for 24 hours for it to take its final shape

But recently I got a entry level one for £200 that’s pretty good

I got some inheritance which I used some to buy a better mattress which I would not have bought otherwise

I sleep on a futon mattress (from j-life) on a wooden frame that is lumpy it’s not ideal but it does the trick

i think a mattress topper is your best bet for the short term. its the inbetween. maybe soon youll get a tax refund or something and come into some money and be able to fork over the 800 for a new mattress. also could you try flipping it or turning it 180 degrees?

turn the mattress upside down and over on the top side on the bottom…should temporarily fix it.
