Sometimes I question the weight gain whether it’s all meds or in part age and diet
Probably both. Usually is the case I think. I mean it almost couldn’t be just one, they’re both factors tho it’s hard to know how much each contributes and which contributes more.
puts down donut
You can’t do that to a donut!
I wish I had that kind of will power haha
Do you mean you’ve plateaued? The body adapts, so you have to mix things up. When you run, do you run at the same pace? It’s better to run at an average pace, then run fast for a short amount of time, then slower than average, then fast, then average. Every time you run you want to mix the pace in a random way.
Same goes for lifting weights. Lift in a random way: change the weights, reps, and the time between sets randomly. If you’re doing bicep curls, immediately switch to tricep pushups (hands close together). Keep the brain and the body guessing so it can’t adapt.
I’m 62, and I just ride a recumbent stationary bike, but 45 years ago I was in the military doing all sorts physical things. I weighed 140 lbs, so my muscle to weight ratio was very good.
You can ask your doctor if you can have your testosterone level checked. Creatine is also helpful, and emerging research is suggesting that Creatine may help with depression and anxiety, but it’s too early to say for certain.
Yeah have pretty much hit a plato… it’s just that when I was on 5mg Olanzapine 3 years ago I was equalling my current progress which is over a year’s worth of training in as little as about 5 runs! Also I was busy having different relationships with women and had no problems with desire or labido.
Also this time round I’ve quit vaping, smoking and drinking. When last time I’d barely stopped those things for a month.
I lost all my extra weight, about 125 pounds on generic prolixin…fluphenazine…no sexual side effects…might check it out.
Would be worried to try first generation antipsychotic. I’m concerned about my overall health in the long term.
Shame aripiprazole didn’t work well for me the first time.
Doesn’t look like I’ll be able too get Rexulti from my local NHS trust.
