Thinking of switching anti-psychotic

I’m thinking of asking my doctor to switch me from Olanzapine to a more weight neutral AP.

I can’t fuucking control myself with food on Olanzapine. I feel like a food addict.

I’ve heard Latuda is a good AP for weight.

Anyone else on an AP that doesn’t make you a food monster?

I’m worried that if I stop Olanzapine, I won’t be able to sleep

Ask for Seroquel…

I’m on clopixol and it causes far less hunger than Seroquel which makes me starving

Believe it or not I’m doing fine with Risperdal but Seroquel increases my appetite much more.

Geodon and caplyta

I’m sorry I said Seroquel, but I’m on Clozapine, and it’s far less good for weight.

I thought clozapine would be weight gaming like Olanzapine but not at all

That’s good to know. The only problem I have with it is drooling when I lay down

The constipation went when I started having fruit smoothies for breakfast

@TheCanuk have you ever tried Geodon? (Zisprasidone is the generic) it’s very weight neutral and not too sedating. It’s by far my favorite AP

I’ve only tried 2 AP’s, Abilify and my current Olanzapine.

It’s worth asking about. According to ChatGPT Latuda and Geodon tie for being the most weight neutral antipsychotics out there.

Latuda is weight nutural in fact i sometimes had problems with trying to get enough food for the 350 calories i think it was

As far as haldol ive heard people saying its the most worst side effects i say bullsh!t atleast for me and ive slowly been losing weight and it helps with all the psychosis symptoms

The problem with meds is that everyone reacts differently for example abilify helped my sister the same way haldol helped me

If i took abilify id be a insane wreck

Thats the thing i cant positively say theres a 100% chance its gonna work

A doctor admitted that its a guessing game to figure out what meds will work
