Ugh I was sound asleep when I heard a super loud crash then water started pouring out of my bathroom. It was completely flooded by the time I was able to shut the water off to the pipe. Emergency maintenance came out and replaced the pipe now I’m waiting on water mitigation to come vacuum the water and put fans in. It’s almost 10:30 I’m upset because I was sleeping so soundly and now I don’t know when I can go back to sleep

Yeah, I was always warned that could happen in the apartments I lived in. I always thought “It could never happen to me”. I guess it really does happen. The house counselor always used to tell us to leave the heater on at least 55 degrees at all times, day and night, during winter so this doesn’t happen.
Funny thing is I live in Phoenix, the pipe didn’t burst because it froze. We don’t know what caused it
