Once again I was flooded in, that is better than being flooded out. This one was bad. The governor declared it a state emergency. I was without power for 24hrs. I could hear the river roar as it flow through the hay field across the road from me. The campers down by the river had it bad. They had a helicopter in the air and rescued boats in the water. Some of the rescuers had to be rescued. All in all it was busy day at the river.
I’m glad that you’re okay, and I hope no lives were lost.
Yeah, it sucks to be without power for 24 hours, but, as you said, it could have been a lot worse.
I hope the weather treats you kindly for the remainder of the summer.
I heard that one person died. Up north of me. They had to rescued people off roofs and pluck some from trees l have been watching YouTube videos on it
Ridge runner where are you located?
How scary! I’m so glad you’re ok!!!
@FreeLunch Missouri Ozarks
@Lilyofthevalley It scary if your down at the river. My house is high enough that the river can never get to it.
Oh, what a relief that must be!!! Do you have everything you need? Like food, and other supplies?
@Lilyofthevalley I’m no longer flooded in. That’s why they call it a flash flood. But I always keep extra supplies. So I have dog food, cat food, bird food and people food.
Thank you for your concern.
