Qutting smoking is going pretty well, but I am at the heaviest I have been in my entire life. I’m right around 255lbs now.
Part of it is quitting work and not having to deal with those stairs everyday. When I was working I was somewhere around 230 I think. But after quitting work and quitting smoking I have really ballooned.
I guess thats my next goal after I am stabilized on the smoking. Lose weight.
To lose weight i ate veggie wraps. 1 wrap for lunch and dinner for a few months actually. I put microwaveable chicken, shrimp, egg etc in them, cabbage, green pepper and green peas. One wrap per meal. I didnt get sick of it until a couple months passed
It’s tough. I got off with the champix but it’s still something where you need to train yourself. Don’t replace cigs with meals or eating. Keep portion control in mind because your overweight so eat regularly like 3 meals a day but watch your diet and do random exercise stuff…keep moving …your less of a target that way anyways.
It’s so hard. I smoked for 25 years of my life and most of that was a pack a day…But. It’s so doable so you have to be mindfulll but kind to yourself. It’s hard work but you can do this.
I may be wrong but I think quitting smoking is more important so yea probably best to make sure that’s stabilized above all. My top tip for weight loss is to eat more vegetables tho. Like recently for breakfast I just been forcing down a giant bowl of vegetables the size of my head. Keeps me from eating throughout the day.
@POET eating just a big bunch of veggies makes ya feel so good ay! Like mentally and physically. Its usually not a pleasurable experience to just have a bowl of veggies at the time. But man. Really good for us. I just down it with the mindset that it’s making me healthier rather than caring about flavour.
Ye exactly dude, the conclusion I came to is that I need to see dieting some ways like working out… Sometimes working out hurts but it feels good in a way .. and you just gotta get the weight up and you feel accomplished. Recently every morning, similarly, I been forcing myself to just get down a big ass bowl of veggies every day for breakfast.
Imo it’s similar to intermittent fasting because it has virtually zero calories so it’s basically a skipped mean… 2 meals a day that sort of thing 16:8… it’s close enough and it’s been working. My weight is going down.
