Should I have done this?

In light of recent world events and uncovering plots for school massacres I have emailed my son’s school.

I just asked where they are at with school security and how much security they have etc. I did put though that I like to think we are safe living in a village.

I hope I don’t come across as paranoid. I just get very anxious about sending my son to school.

As a UK citizen I have a very bad feeling about this years Christmas/new year. Just have a feeling some ■■■■ is about to go down in the UK

I wouldn’t worry about it. I think you have a right as a parent to inquire about school security.

I think you were definitely within your rights as a parent to ask the school about their security plan. It shouldn’t matter at all that you live in a village. Terror attacks can happen anywhere.

My daughter’s school shared their plan with parents and they train the children for a dangerous situation. It is called “lockdown” and the children are trained what to do.

Ty. I got a phone call about 30 minutes from one of the teachers.

she talked me through everything they have put in place in the school. She said she completely understood my concerns as she is a parent too.

So glad your school was able to alleviate your concerns.

You have every right as a parent to a student at that school to question them on how secure the school is.

We are living in different times now

You are just being a good mom. I’m glad you asked.
