Slow bowel movement!

I have really slow bowel movement. I go to the toilette once a week. It freaking hurts when I finally go.

Do you guys think I should mention this to my doc?

You need more fiber in your diet. Try eating prunes and drinking Metamucil. Also eating more vegetables and fruit.

I recently ate some dried pears and they really cleaned me out, I was in and out the toilet for a whole day.

Some meds can increase the occurrence of constipation…my clozapine plus getting back on the Mounjaro affects it. I use senna, stool softener, and mag oxide…if that doesn’t work in a week I do the equivalent of a colonoscopy prep, which involves a whole bottle of Miralax dissolved in a pitcher of grape Crystal Light…that works really well if I’m backed up. I would tell your doctor cuz it can be really painful…

Supposed to have like 30 grams of fiber a day. I do psyllium husk and high fiber granola every day i think im around 20 grams. Have to and I stay on a schedule.

Its supposed to have a lot more benefits than just being really regular

Speedy you must mention this to your psychiatrist and doctor so that they can offer you som good laxatives and stool softener.
You should go at least twice a week and if not it’s called constipation.

I’ve battled this condition for the past 25 years and sometimes we need meds for this condition.

I myself take mirelax

From my experience with toilet, eating fresh blueberries or blueberry extracts helps a lot because blueberris increase probiotics in your bowels.
