Sorry I’ve been a bit negative lately

My emotions have been running away with me. I’m not usually so emotional but the last few weeks I have been.

I usually think things through but lately I have not been.

Anyways I hope you’re all good.

It’s ok @Qwerty

It’s totally understandable

I’m really upset about this thing in Nepal today. I saw some very disturbing things on Facebook and with what I witnessed of my friend when the car crashed (he was thrown through the window) it’s really not helped me at all.

Try to avoid watching the news for a while @Qwerty if you can.

Yes, what happened in Nepal was horrific

Didn’t even notice, I mean after your accident youve been naturally down but I don’t hold anything against you for that

I agree with @Wave , try to not watch the news. Maybe if you like reading news stories Google happy news and stick to heartwarming stories.

I think it’s very understandable that it triggered your ptsd. Try to stay occupied with things to do even if it’s just cleaning or reorganizing things in your home.

You could go for a walk outside, weather permitting. If that’s scary, you could walk a mall.

Call someone on the phone and ask lots of questions about their life to get your mind off your own.

These are just suggestions on how to occupy yourself to get your mind off of these tragedies.

No worries

It’s normal to talk about your issues on a support forum, you don’t have to apologize

We’re here to pass time and have fun but also to support each other

I would add for the list of @Lilyofthevalley coloring books (mostly the ones with mandalas as it’s therapeutic), working out, journaling, watching comedy (movies, sketchs), reading like you talked earlier is a good idea too

Thanks. I ended up ordering a kindle. I’ve got 3 months kindle unlimited free now. So good news is DCC is on there for free. I’ll start reading it tonight in bed.

I will also finish building these Terran marines tonight and some point tomorrow spray paint them so I can begin painting them.

I would say don’t be too hard on yourself…you are blessed to be alive for your two boys after a horrible tragedy in that car wreck…may you find peace.

Enjoy your new guitar when you get it @jukebox

My eldest son wants to learn drums. I’m after buying him an electric drum kit for Christmas. One that can fold away.

I will get him some lessons too for Christmas.

@tarnishedLotus learn how to read tablature…the numbers are where you put the fingers of your left hand and the string is from the highest on the top and the lowest on the bottom…easy…pm me if you need more instruction. you can find tons of guitar tablature on the online sites…just try it.
