Hi! I thought I’d updated everyone. I had my surgery a week ago, and all is going well. Day two was definitely the most difficult. I’m now one week out from surgery, and I’m doing fine. I am currently out of pain pills, but I really hurt and am hoping them will give me a refill. I think after this refill, I won’t need more. I just need it today because I overdid it. And on that note…
I got a haircut today! I’d been needing one for years. I DO NOT recommend getting a haircut a week after knee surgery. I was lucky my stylist was very quick! I’m relieved my hair is shorter, and it feel so soft! I love post-salon hair!
It is much appreciated. I’ve also just learned that I’m going on a trip about 12 hours each way. That will be in mid-April, but I’m nervous about it with my knee. SO and I will stop every 45 minutes to walk for 15 minutes, though. So our 6 hours drive gives us a couple of extra hours to stop and smell the roses as it were. But I’ll get to see my mom and sister. Mom isn’t doing well. I know the knee situation will be challenging, but I NEED to see my mom while she still remembers me.
ETA: I wrote 6 hours drive because that is what we will divide it into for each day- 2 days there (6 hours each), 2 days to stay and visit, then 2 days to return.
