The pain factor

52 months on from the falls,50 from the partial hip replacement, and more than 10 minutes of mild to moderate activity still results in 6-7 level pain - That takes several hours for codeine to relieve..It can really frustrate me, and get me down. Today is one of those days.

My grandpa broke his hip in his early 60s, he was at a nearby mall and crawled home. He struggled to walk for years after until he was in a wheelchair in his late 70s. He was always wincing in pain even while sitting. He lived to 81, he died in 2007.

SOrry @firemonkey pain sucks. My mom has had to have several surgeries on her knees and is often in pain like that , as well.

I myself have tendonitis in my right arm that never seems to go away and I think I have a mild case in my left arm , as well. Fortunately I quit Amazon before it destroyed my back completely , as well.

@Schizbro/ @SzSupportAdmin did they/do they use a mobility aid? I use a stroller with a box seat. I can walk short distances without it, in a heavy footed ‘Frankenstein’ kind of way. I only do that if I’m having a day when my balance is at its best. @Bowens what do you take for your tendonitis?

I dont take anything any more. My Dr gave me some steroids but they didnt seem to help.

Yes, my mom used a walker after both surgeries, but both times recovered enough after awhile that she then transitioned to a cane and then nothing.

My mom has also had spinal surgery. Had to use a walker for awhile after that as well.

Yes, he used a walker. I think it’s the same thing as stroller.

oh sorry all on here…that’s awful…if you don’t have your health you don’t have anything.

@jukebox I probably complain too much. It’s several things at the mild end of them.
