To block or not block…

So I couldn’t keep up with maintaining friendships with normies. It was so stressful and I became symptomatic.

I was highly pressured to do this by my old therapist. It wasn’t my idea.

So I ghosted them and said I just need a more low key life.

Well once in a while they still text me. It makes me so anxious and paranoid. I don’t text back.

Should I block their phone numbers?

I wouldn’t want any of my old irl friends calling me

I personally would block them, but that’s just me

If someone causes you more stress than enjoyment, block for sure

Your so lucky to have friends that are there still. I would try your best to keep in touch, even with a short reply by text. You never know what the future brings

I would not block. In the past I have simply explained that between chronic depression and autism it is difficult for me to stay in contact. I value them, but I am not good at maintaining my end of the relationship and I hope they understand. They all have so far.

Don’t burn a bridge if you don’t have to. Friends are too few as we age. Keep what you have while you can.
