Hi, do you have treatment resistant schizophrenia? I’m on two antipsychotics and I still have the delusion that people are spiritually talking to each other, about me in a bad way. What can I do?

I have treatment resistant as well. I’m on Invega and Haldol but I still get visuals. When my shot comes up I start getting paranoid, mania, anxiety, and delusion type stuff. Getting good sleep is important things get worse without it. Also therapy like CBT can help you fight off those thoughts.

Sorry to hear that and thanks for responding to my message. I am fed up with my delusion and wonder if I may as well move to a lower dose

If the med isn’t doing anything you might as well ask. Maybe try another med if you haven’t tried them all yet.

I still get symptoms with meds. I try to ignore them and stay busy. I try to avoid people, but living in a moderate size city it’s impossible.

I think I have treatment resistance regarding negative symptoms and they are pretty bad, but at least drugs control positive symptoms all right. I just naively wish some new treatment would appear to help with negatives, but it seems unlikely to come to pass - just have to live with the residual symptoms I guess.

I used to really struggle with voices and misinterpretations but it’s gotten better in time. How old are you? As you get older schizophrenia gets better because there is less dopamine in the brain

I’m 48! Symptoms are a little better but I suffered really badly…
