I’m pretty sure I quit smoking in my mid 40s

I quit Cold Turkey and because I was determined to quit it was relatively easy.

I was a heavy smoker, 2 packs a day

Damn i got stressed & needed to smoke

I quit at 38 years old. I weaned myself off over time, because none of the aids, nor quitting cold turkey helped. I smoke a pack a day. Vaping just made me smoke more so I went back to cigarettes. If you want, I can tell you my method for weaning off.

37, 5 years ago, a pack a day cold turkey very difficult. I was craving non stop for a month. After a month cravings finally declined.

Ok. So I took a day anc smoked as much as I wanted. But I kept track of how many cigarettes I had, no judgment, and no shame.

Then starting the next day I had one cigarette less each day for the next week.

Then the next week, another less per day, until I was down to 1 cigarette per day.

At that point I switched to a half of a cigarette for a couple days, and then nothing.

It worked well for me.

7th grade. Not even a pack a month.

No problem. It took months but was worth it. I had to slowly smoke less overtime because of the hand / mouth fixation, plus the nicotine habit. Having a whole week to smoke one Les per day, each week, helped tremendously

Think i was 29 years old when i quit.

I quit without aid that last time.

I did however replace the cigarettes with lösgodis.

Lollies.

I would buy a kg of lollies a week or so in the beginning.

Think i only put on 5 kg.

I remember cigarette not easing how i was feeling so that helped my determination.

Also as a smoker i was struggling to buy groceries and was not doing well enough financially to even comfortably have enough food and hygiene producrs i felt.

Awakening determination and commitment to quit smoking is important .

Aids might help.

I tried aids previously but last time i just quit without.
