Seems that people who should leave are staying. I mean @Wave and others who haven’t been on vacation for years are staying home.

I can’t afford to travel…even gas here is $4.60 a gallon. I can barely afford food much less a trip anywhere. But it’s okay, just going day to day with the mundane.

Well, I just made the decision not to go camping. My husband wants to visit our oldest in California and it’s a super expensive trip because he has to buy a special seat due to his size and spine injuries, plus an air bnb, plus a car rental. We need the money that would have gone toward camping to go toward the trip. I really hope he gets to go.

My brother invited me to meet him and his family at Manitoulin Island in Ontario a couple weeks ago. Flights would have been about $500.00, hotel about $100 a night for a week or whatever and meals like $50.00 a day and who knows what else like admissions or cab fares etc. Almost 2 grand it would have been, so I declined… not feeling great anyway.
