I tried go understand it literally when I was younger, not fully realizing it is a nonsensical term.
I had a friend from a hostel who me and boyfriend moved in with in Leicester when i was 18. He was sz the friend and into his drugs and martial arts. He used to own all kinds of martial arts stuff and would get targeted by teenagers a few times in the park, police would be taking his stuff off him. He was harmless thou would do anything for anybody.
I feel psychiatry needs to incorporate emotions and emotional wellbeing more than it does. It kinda minimises this a lot. Especially in the case of mental issues, psychiatric non conforming situations like psychosis

Happy, sad, confused, neutral and everything in-between is never accounted for. We call situations triggers rather than trying to understand the logic behind why we were triggered by something. We ignore the emotion we felt and throw it onto psychologists and create a two disciplines - chemistry/anatomy vs emotions. Not sure if this simplifies or words it even more, but does make sense to me
