Do you mean without entering your system? If so, no. They will be absorbed in your body unless you develop severe issues like Crohn’s disease or another intestinal ailment that affect the ability to absorb nutrients etc

No they don’t.

I think poop out is meant here meaning stop working rather than come out the bum.

Sometimes they do stop working for some people, but usually they don’t.

Ok, I once read that it doesn’t happen. I was on effexor back then and felt depressed. But apparently, it does happen, if your resources are right? I don’t trust AI though.

I’d be very upset if my current med stopped working too

Yes as your meds pass through your digestive system you will eventually poop them out

@Mr.Apple

It’s a really long story but that’s basically what happened and it was pretty awful and yes, I was very upset about it.

It really depends on your stress levels too @Ish

If you are under an enormous amount of stress you may need a med adjustment

But usually APs don’t poop out on their own but it can rarely happen

Antipsychotics always loose their effects on me when it’s a 2. Gen antipsychotics. But I had the luck to come on Clopixol Depot in 1997 and since the I only have been admitted 6 times.

The past 14 years I’ve been on Seroquel for mood stabilization as well. And those have not lost their effects until now.

I’m on 200 mg Clopixol every other week and this antipsychotics is stronger than Zyprexa for psychosis. The dose lays on the top of the hyperbolic curve so more of that meds just increases side effects without bettering psychosis.
