They aren’t. Psychology is over a years wait @Lilyofthevalley and they have not even put me on a waiting list.

I’m looking into private counselling. Don’t think they will be happy about that though

@Lilyofthevalley did I tell you what happened to my friend ?

This is the last text I got from a friend of his …

They haven’t released his body yet or able to register death as might be an inquest. ICU didn’t tell critical care about crush injury to leg which meant went untreated for 6 hours by which time it had died and was poisoning him resulting in the amputation

Oh yes I remember I told you now cos you said you had a similar issue with your father in law.

Welcome to NHS Britain. Honestly ? It needs to go. I’m all for private health care at this point and I never thought I would say that.

With physical health issues you have a choice of hospital you wanted to be treated in . sadly (unless things have changed) with mental health you don’t have the choice… could help massively with waiting times if we had a choice.

Yes, you told me and it’s awful! I think paying for healthcare based on income is better than totally private of totally public. Neither extreme is good in my opinion.

I agree @Lilyofthevalley

Only been just over two weeks since he died. And his flat has been pretty much cleared out.

Have you allowed yourself to grieve yet? Maybe write out some last words and light a candle to say goodbye? I’m so sorry for you and for him

The pain of missing him will never go away but it will lessen over time. Find ways to help it diminish or lessen so you can move forward in a healthy way. Maybe make something or do something in the community in his honor to remember him by.

Ty @sweetpotatopie and @Lilyofthevalley

Before his flat was all cleared I was allowed to go in and grab something. He had loads of tapestry’s (his hobby) so I took two. I will reframe them and once my living room has been decorated they will go on the wall.

I’m so glad you have things he made himself to remember him by. I can’t think of anything better.
