What I’ve been doing for exercise is simple compound movements while standing.
Burpees are considered the best compound movement exercise, but I’m not looking for that level of fitness, and an exercise I’m actually going to do.
The best and easiest involve squats, bending and twists. Partial or full lunge, standing and bending is good too. I generally dont do resistance exercise but even adding a little resistance will spike your heartrate.
Finding an easy repetitive action compound movement that can be done to music is decent exercise even for only five minutes a few times a day.
Do those movements with just calastenics? Press ups for bench. Squats for squats. And imitate deadlifting with just your body doing the movement. Rather than doing a weighted 5 sets of 5 reps, just do 100 of each
Pushups, sit-ups and body weight squats. Then jogging or walking. If you have a dumbbell arm raises in all directions and curls. You can also add random objects to a backpack and do some rucking. It’s a great compound exercise. Works your legs, your back, your core, your shoulder. Your whole body pretty much.
