Having a hard time. I’m trying to ignore my delusions but every time I try they get worse. I believe the government put a microchip in my head to make a reality show out of me (like The Truman Show) and every time I ignore it they get angry and threaten they will hurt me or the people I love.
any help is great.
do you have someone you can reality check with that doesn’t mind it?
Just to run hypotheticals past them to see if they make sense?
like if i were there with you i’d stress that the government isn’t interested in you, there are over 300 million people in the USA (assuming that’s where you live) and the government isn’t in the business of making shows for entertainment. They also couldn’t put a chip in your head without kidnapping you and prepping for surgery, and you’d have had a shaved spot on your head, and since you remember none of that, it’s evident that it never actually happened.
I know everyone’s different but reality testing helped me a lot when i was delusional.
I don’t have much of a shoulder to cry on. My family gets annoyed and angry if I talk about it. And I understand.
Oh i’m so sorry you deserve better than that. I had my mom on my team, without her i would have been on my own. I guess just keep the forum in mind for help. I know it doesn’t help nearly as much as a real live human in front of you, but support is what it’s here for.
What you’re going through sounds partially to be a product of isolation. Need to talk through your delusions with people in person. That’s what helped me
