I feel like I am being laughed at and made fun of these days anytime someone laughs and looks directly at me I think their laughing at me not cool maybe I’m just being paranoid don’t know but hate having these feelings of being laughed at. Like for example today at the store someone started laughing and went down another aisle that I wasn’t down and continued to laugh. Seems weird to me anyone else have these thoughts and feelings I know I am not the only one and not alone. I haven’t been manic any or depressed just paranoid at times.
It comes and goes with me. I’ll think everybody’s laughing at me until I suddenly realize laughter near me is not directed at me, then I think I could be wrong about all the other laughter. I find looking at their eyes helps me figure out if they’re laughing at me or not; a lot of times they are barely aware I’m near them.
I have always felt this even though I am pretty stable in my meds have been for a long time where I don’t need but a very low dose of Abilify and Lexapro. But I also have evil thoughts some days when I do here laughter and doing the same thing to them but in the end their probably not even laughing at me, I just think they are and these people were aware I was there they looked right at me then started laughing.
sorry…I doubt ppl are laughing at you…
I thought my mum has been laughing at me because im so fragile ? I still not sure if shes laughing behind my back to people
I hope you’re right and most likely you could be just think people are laughing at me sometimes when I go out in public.
I used to feel that way. I still feel a little paranoid especially in my neighborhood. My neighbors got robbed cause they were inviting everybody over and they think for some reason we had something to do with it? Their little girl is deranged. Or maybe she just has schizophrenia too. Idk. I don’t like them though. I try to avoid triggers like that or work through them with coping statements. Like when they laugh I’ll move away from the area because I just assume everything is a delusion so I won’t drive myself crazy and end up back in the hospital. Or I try to avoid my neighbors. They may have some mental issues too. My old neighbor had schizophrenia, and actually several people in my neighborhood have some issues as they are always talking to themselves when they go down the street.
I feel like people on bus behind me are talking about me.. and today when i was with my friend we were having dinner at his moms and i thought they were whispering in the kitchen about me cause they would go quiet for a while and i thought what are they saying about me…
I have felt like people have been laughing about me and not just laughing at me but talking bad about me too for a long time now it’s something I just can’t shake off when I am at the store or out and about other than being paranoid I haven’t been manic for some time now the meds I’m on pretty much help with that and depression haven’t been depressed either,so thats a win win for me
No one should feel laughed at. Maybe having someone with you and making a reality check since they may not be really laughing at you.
Maybe those people are just as*holes.
lol I think that too that they were aholes with nothing better to do
People laugh at me a lot at the store because I have a lunatic stalker who tells people his fantasy-world bull crap and they think it’s true. I don’t even know him. He knows someone I went out with.
I used to think this but I don’t think it’s ever been true. I keep my head down and don’t get noticed much. It was much more common in my first few years with the disorder.
