I’m trying to taper completely off of my Seroquel. This doctor prescribed it for me four years ago because I was getting worked up and agitated all the time about the neighbors. He prescribed 400 mg plus a 100 mg tablet as a prn. I’m having trouble with just one neighbor now and I get mad but I don’t get worked up or agitated about it so I asked the doctor if I could taper down because the less medication I take the better.
Three months ago he lowered it from 400 mg to 300 mgs and I did fine. I saw him last week and I wanted to lower it down to 200 mg but he made the point that the reason I’m not getting agitated is because of the Seroquel. Fair point, I’ve seen many people on this site make the mistake of feeling good and thinking they don’t need their medication when the only reason they feel good is because of the medication. So the doc only lowered it to 250 mg and he’ll see how I do for the next 8 weeks. Fair enough, I think I’ll do fine and I can wait, I already recently got off two medications I was taking for physical problems and next I’d like to go back to getting my Invega Sustenna injection every four weeks instead of the current three weeks.
The ultimate dream is to get off the Wellbutrin too, I’ve been on 450 mg for 9 years and to be honest I could never really tell if it does anything at all. I’m taking Miralax now so I’d like to get off the bisacodyl too.
I think when we have been on medication for years on end it becomes so we forget how we felt before meds, and the on med feeling becomes the new normal. Chances are the meds are doing a lot more than you think, at least the psych meds. But I’m all for trying to lower as long it’s at your doctors discretion. You never know.
nick, you’re still delusional about your neighbors…I have seen you still talking about how they “know how to get to you”…you are wrong…sorry…I must say it…you need your full dose of seroquel…remember that time you pulled up and glared at a car you swore circled only you in the parking lot? you are looking for trouble…you desperately need your seroquel AND wellbutrin.
I agree Zoe. I don’t think a 60 year old man should be dating a 18 year old. Obviously its not illegal, so you can’t do anything about it. I just think its weird and wrong. Im 31 and I wouldn’t even go for a 18 yesr old girl. They are literally just out or high school.
I know that… im saying age is not just a number like he said. I was just using an example. A 60 year old man should not be with a 18 year and a 70 year old man should not be with a 15 year old. Both are wrong.
