I applied for a weekend job

Hopefully it works out ok, 22 hrs a month I think, I won’t get a lot for it because my benefit money will get tapered I think but still another £100pm I think.

My new Line Manager agreed to be a reference today and so did my coworker at my charity.

I saw another thing I was thinking about but idk if its a good idea, its training as a janitor for a school etc, it didn’t specify hours or pay though, just that its six months and I’d need to work in a team. I’ve been looking at building manager jobs and they look ok, not to difficult & good pay.

Good luck! @Daydreamer I hope you get the job and that it’s enjoyable. Best wishes. :pink_heart:

I’m thinking about trying to come off benefits & I think the safety net is pretty good here atm. after £411 my Universal credit will start to taper my extra earnings 55p out of the pound, so my earnings will increase but my benefit will come down. I reckon the government needs the money more than I do as well tbh :frowning:

I kinda feel that people don’t want me on benefits but its so hard to work, maybe I can build up my stamina both mental & physical and earn my own way for a change.

It was super hard today, my legs were so weak and I hadn’t slept well due to going to the Larp game last night, my head was sore and the train was cancelled on the way home and I had to get a bus which was longer, I hope tomorrow is better but I feel worn down right now, I’m hoping I can manage it, I’m not giving up yet

The government prints its own money. They don’t need your money. The only reason they tax like hell is to avoid inflation. Don’t worry about the governments money worry about your own money.
