I no longer drink alcohol or smoke pot

mainly just because my doctors warned against it but also for spiritual reasons I am completely sober…just thought I would blow my own horn…I am really happy.

I’ve found getting rid of drinking to be most beneficial. Like don’t get me wrong I enjoy a drink and not that I drank much but I’d do it everyday…i had that problem with pot too before the psychosis.

Honestly. It’s a good achievement in modern life because it’s not so bad to de stress but I’ve found things like exercise can be just as good.

More power too you and glad your doing it. You won’r regret getting sober.

oh thank you…yes I feel proud after years of heavy drinking and smoking pot…I can’t even fathom smoking pot anymore…hurt myself with that stuff.

It’s damaging for sz but it’s hard to let go of substances. I don’t drink a lot but it was regular. It’s nice to be like…I can have a drink out and with friends but I can save money. It’s hard to be poor these days on benefits out here and feel that same thing with you peeps.

Do some exercise. It’ll help you survive and it’s beneficial and fills some of those feelings too. Start small. But build. It works.

Yeah the sober lifestyle is probably the best type of lifestyle to have when you got sz. Not to mention today’s strands of weed are hella stronger and way more trippy. It’s definitely not the stuff we were smoking in high school.

I have no vices left. It used to be smoking. The closest thing i have to a vice now is food.

Good work friend you just joined the club of sober members that I’m also part of.

I had to quit weed because after taking lsd made me hallucinate if it was strong enough

Just a friendly reminder to keep recovery oriented for op. Thank you!

Thats awesome that your sober. I want to be. Im super hung over today. Sucks. Didn’t sleep either. Feel terrible lol.

Quit pot in jan 2020. on the 23rd of May it will be 4 months sober. No looking back. Hangovers suck and it takes soooo much longer to feel better.

Ya the old lady i used to be with vaped all the time I tried it couple times. Ciggyys are waaay better lol. To me its almost like mission impossible to quit cigs. But like my old worker said if I can quit pot I could quit anything.. gives me hope.. I seen this retired nurse from psych ward on Feb 2nd.. in a fresco grocery store. I told her I quit pot and her eyes were just huge and she was so happy.

I tried to quit vaping last night and lasted an hour lol

I decided to follow a straight edge lifestyle some years ago. So no alcohol, smoking, drugs for me. Just completely sober. It suits me. I am trying to reduce caffiene as well. Congrats for your sobriety. It is a good decison. Sometimes I miss being a little intoxicated, but I know that that is not good for me. Been there done that. No need to hit my head on the same tree again and again.
