14 if you count Miralax, Invega Sustenna and Mounjaro. At my request my doctor said I can stop taking Docusate and Omeprazole. The docusate is a stool softener where I saw on YouTube that multiple studies shows it doesn’t work, it doesn’t do anything and I told my doctor and she said I can stop taking it. The omeprazole was for acid reflux but when I lose weight my acid reflux goes away. So now I take 9 medications a day plus Miralax and Mounjaro weekly and Invega Sustenna every three weeks. I’m slowly tapering down my Seroquel, I’m down to 300 mg nightly and I’m hoping next time I see my doctor in a week he’ll reduce it to 200mg. It feels good getting off these medications. Next, I’m going to see if my doctor will agree to me getting the Invega Sustenna every four weeks instead of three.
I feel your pain. I’m on 17
Docusate definitely works I took it after my appendix removal
It did nothing for me in the hospital and it does nothing for me now. That’s good it worked for you though.
Good for you Nick
Since i chose to lower my depot with pdoc reluctantly doing it, im feeling more like my old self, not been suicidal for a week now. Bit more irritable but i’d take that over the prior feelings
Im on half a medication
You should look into taking pantoprazole instead of Omeprazole. My mom was on Omeprazole they said if you take long term it can cause chronic kidney disease. She took it and got kidney disease, but she also a diabetic.
Nick my heart goes out to you. Yes sometimes life is really difficult and sometimes the doc simply write out tó many medications. I got off of my long acting depo Clopixol 2 weeks ago and my doctor is tapering me into the same pills. Yes and the doctor agreed on letting me of the prolong Seroquel onto the standard seroquel. So now I’m on 200 mg IR morning-after noon and 400 mg evening so 800 mg standard each day. I’m also on akineton 1 pill akineton x 3 and 2 sacks of mirilax.
I’m on eight prescribed.Plus inhaler ..
I’m 52.
I’m on 7 plus a few ‘as needed’ that I dont always take. Like the acid reflux stuff.
The more youre on , the more annoying it gets because they all seem to run out at different times, which means you have to constantly reordering and scheduling trips to the pharmacy.
I am on one med invega
No, I go through a mail order pharmacy my insurance told me about. It’s still a hassle because once I phone in the order it can take 7-10 business days to arrive. I have to be looking for it in the mail for more than a week.
