For me, Arabic or Bangla. Bangla is my father’s first language and extended families too. Arabic because the meanings and rhetorical nature of the language. I also have Arabic heritage historically.
I’ve tried both in the past. I struggled with the Script of Arabic - too cursive. Whereas Bangla the script is super straight shaped compared. But the sounds are very different to English and the formation of words (grammar) is noticeably unnatural to me.

Nigerian languages, we have a significant Nigerian community here in my town; I’ve had at least 2 friends who were Nigerian growing up. I’d feel at home if I managed to conversate in Yoruba or Igbo!

I know zilch about his work, I’d love to take it up though. He was a good friend of Einstein’s apparently and they would spend time together, especially writing letters.

He has a short story about the future where people live really high up or down low and the people who live high up live forever because they circumnavigate the Sun in a different way or something like that. People down low live hedonistic lives and the people up above live lives that are are super proper
