I have ditched social media for a long time now
Would it go to far to not have an email anymore?

I think about that too. Going back to early 90s and prior. Life wasnst so bad then.

The problem is, it isnt the 80’s anymore, and everyone uses phone and email for vefication purposes for everything. You want to stream a channel? Use this QR code on your phone and then check your email. Need to verify your doctors appt? Simply reply “Y” to this text message. Etc.
You cant easily go back to a life with no phone and email without major inconveniences and hassles.

It’s that but I also I get a lot of dissatisfaction from them. Hopelessly drawn to using them, but getting nothing really out of it.

It would be very difficult without a email adress. But a compromise is to just not check it very often, then it takes up minimal of your time.
I have a dumbphone with a twin simcard that I use as a pager for my smartphone. That way I can just put the smartphone in a different room and forget about it when I feel like it.
