Did you have to get a lawyer for disability in the United States?

I got mine in 4 months. No lawyer but my psychiatrist who recommended I get disability vouched for me.

I’m hoping mine does. I had a medication provider tell me I needed it 4 years ago on my birthday but I’ve been in and out of jobs ever since.

Yeah hopefully disability will give you the stability you need.

Most people need a lawyer. It’s hard to get it without one unless you’re a very frequent flyer at the psych wards.

I did not get it the first time, though. As is usually the case.

I’ve only had one psych ward stay. Did you have multiple stays at the psych ward?

Yes, I had multiple psych ward stays, with the longest being 5 months right after I turned 18. I’ve been in and out of them all my adult life.

Best wishes to you.
