Here is my laterst reworking of an old track which i have added and removed instruments to.

I reused an old track’s lyrics which was indie for this pop tune.

Where is my needed listener for the lowdown and genre. I went for pop again, what do you think? @everhopeful

10 out of 10 ! Well done :+1:

You’re putting out some astoundingly good stuff. That was yet again brilliant. I’ve no idea how you’re doing it. You’ve got a talent for sure.

Genre is tough for me on this. You could call it pop or dream trance .

Did you have any luck getting onto YouTube?

I took an old techno track, slowed it down and added instruments and vocals with some new lyrics.

Hope you like it?

Hope you can make out the lyrics @everhopeful ? what genre too please? I went with downbeat with this one.

Enjoy…

Very hypnotic!

I agree, downbeat is a good genre for it.

Music is superb.

I have one small critique for the vocals. It sounds like you’re doing the vocals in real time. I think if you did them separately and “copy and pasted” them to repeat them it would be even better.

I was trying to get a live vibe to it. Singing in time to the music makes it easier to record, but you are right for a single release people like uniformity.

I may go back and do that at a later date.

Cheers.

Is the aim to be on stage as a jobbing jazz musician then? Nice goal if it is!

Man… just to be competent at something. I dont want to die without knowing mastery.

My real question at this point is whether or not learning to fully use its workflow is a good idea in the context of advancements that will happen with laptops? Like will I get left in the dust if I commit to learning how to use an MPC maybe not. It’s really unknown to me.

yes it is a DAW and instrument all in one! Pretty amazing thing all around.

I prefer using a DAW on my pc as when i construct music I know my way around it now. Learning that Akai isn’t necessary for me. I sold on my maschine mk3 for exactly the same reason plus i am not too keen on the pads for drumming.

I found that out by buying an Alesis drum pad and then selling it on as I hate the synthetic drum personally. If i was to learn drums I’d need the real thing and I can’t have them at my flat due to the neighbours.

The akai is a powerful thing and a great instrument/daw all around though. Good liuck learning it. Don’t be daunted by all its functions. Take your time with it is my advice.
