What causes ppl to lose legs? Im sure its from the way they eat right? And prob being lazy right? Just curious i had it for 4 years now.. my diet is terrible I dont drink pop or put sugar in anything tho so idk workers are teaching me how to cook so im learning.. I walk alot so that keeps my sugars down.. I just worried about dialysis or losing a leg
It’s called diabetic neuropathy from high blood sugars and lack of exercise. The blood circulation eventually slows or stops and the limbs die and they have to amputate.
Eating alot of sugar. My sister is losing her vision because she neglected her health and ate alot of sugar and didn’t take her insulin. When she got her diet together, she stopped having to get eye injections.
My doctor said your sugars are directly affected by what you put in your body
I know the struggle with food. No appetite for healthful food.
Veg and protein every meal.
Cut out the carbs. If I get diagnosed with diabetes im only eating meat/ beans and veg. Maybe oats. But no rice, bread, potatos etc. No fried food.
Is sodium bad for diabetes? All I got in this world is my pepsi zero love it
Low salt diet is almost always recommended. Diabetes affects the cardiovascular system so you want your sodium intake low to avoid high blood pressure.
Also i think kidneys filter sugar and salt from blood so… you want to take it easy on those
