Pre-diabetic labs say

I don’t know what else is wrong but all I got out of my early lab results on my email is that I am in pre diabetic range….how bad is this? am I going to be a diabetic??

You should probably talk to your doctor about intervention before you develop full on diabetes. I was prediabetic but I lost a bunch of weight and cut out sugar and I’m fine now.

A1C numbers

Normal: below 5.7%

Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%

Diabetes: 6.5% or higher (on two separate tests, usually)

One week ago I suspected that I had prediabetic but the lab result came back and the Dr. told me that the results were fine.

Don’t eat peanut butter anymore!

All natural pb should be fine but 2tbls or less

Yeah I just mean the process. Store-bought stuff like jiffy for example has a lot of sugar in it

I was last in the hospital at halloween so the snack table always had candy on it. The snacks there were way too high calorie anyway.

It depends on the type of peanut butter. My dietician actually recommended peanut butter as a snack as it helps to regulate glucose levels.

I am also pre diabetic and I have not changed my habits or keep up with the lifestyle app they got me to download

I went from pre-diabetic to diabetic. Then I changed my diet and lost weight. Now I’m in the normal range. A1C of 5.5 (in USA) I say in USA because the UK measures it differently

I eat about 4 TB of natural PB per day. Type 2 diabetes in remission, but I’ve lost weight and I’m on Wegozy, which is the weight-loss name for Ozempic and it does moderate blood sugar.

Ok. Thats almost half of daily rmi of sat fat. I know pb is high in polyunsaturateds, but still 400 calories in pb and a lot of fat

Peanut butter is perfectly fine.

I consume it sparingly because it’s high in calories

I usually buy the natural kind, not the ones with added sugars like Jiff or Skippy.

Your liver makes it out of carbs.

Anyway if your blood fat is fine on 4tb and your dr has no prob ..
