Liking this one, cool guitars and reverb on it. Nice rhythmic percussions / drums.

My new Experimental Synth Pop tune…

Might add lyrics later.

80s vibe (I bet @everhopeful would have liked this one!)

Enjoy…

What do you think?

I’d love to know…

It sounds good, I like the little guitar riff and drum beat

Ai told me I could hook up all my instruments to my daw..Edrums, Keyboard, guitar, push 2, I wish I could do it but I don’t have the confidence atm.

A music group I attended last week wants me to be the drummer with them as well but idk if I can keep up the routine…my fatigue kicks my ass a lot of the time.

I finger drummed this beat with the help of a beatstep pro and am quite pleased with how it turned out.

You are going to need a decent audio interface to cope with all those instruments if you want to use them at the same time. A 2x2 interface won’t do it when you connect to a daw/pc, so bear that in mind when you connect it all up.

Good to see that you use your edrums!

I don’t use my instruments as much as I want to, I wanted to try using my edrums but with reverb and electronic sounds, I’d love to experiment with the kits, ezdrummer has some packs that I like the look of but it looks complicated.

The drum kit I was on last week was very simple & the hihat didn’t open out, was just trying to play along with the 2 others on guitar who were singing, I was trying to improvise.

I only like the real thing when it comes to drums and bought a snare but it was way too loud so sold it on; same with my cajon which i am trying toi sell atm and with my hi hat. It sounded good when i played it a few times though.

I had an alesis strike but sold that too. it just sounds too synthetic for me.

I do have a new instrument on the way from India that i am looking forward to playing though!

Yeah, the noise can be an issue, I get that, I use edrums bc they are a lot quieter & I can still hear it through my headphones, the kick drum & hihat are sat on a triple layer of sound deadening carpet so hopefully enough to minimise the sound.

that sounds interesting, what’s the new instrument?

I’ve been looking at a way to route all my instruments, it should be a good set up, only thing is space, so I’ll need to use my little Akai mini thing instead of the full sized keyboard.

I watched a good YouTube video explaining how to use multichannel in Ableton & ezdrummer, I am really considering getting that software, I had a good we session on the edrums tonight, I enjoyed it but the module and sound bank it came with is very simple & limited.

Why not use Reaper? It is basically free (you can pay $60) when the trial ends but you dont have to and it still works.

It is straight, no nonsense DAW that does what all the others do without the thrills like some fancy DAW specific vst etc.

Mine looks good with a free download skin too.

I plit the mixer and the main screen on the two screens:

If you know how to use a DAW then Reaper is a no brainer. Still you can try it for free so…

Still if you don’t have lots of bought vsts then perhaps the next cheapest full daw is fl studio.

Use AI to guide you with what to do, but remember to tell it to not trawl old versions of the DAW.

I had reaper but at the time it was too much and then I lost the software, I have Ableton 11 suite now but not ezdrummer 3, Its a bit tricky but I seem to be more motivated than normal these days. I was using splice to put tracks together and AI but I want to try making something more authentic.

Yeah, I moved away from the old samples and concentrate on my instruments. Play my guitar, play my tabla , tap on the keyboard, play the bass in real life.

If AI destroys music production, as it seems to be doing then at least I can play live music. And have fun doing it!

So added lyrics to the Time and space song and changed its title.

It is now ‘They take it all’ and is a Synth Indie goth inspired track.

What do you think? @Rainstorm @tarnishedLotus @Schizbro @Daydreamer @Dreamer54 @Om_Sadasiva @Montezuma ( love to hear one of your guitar tracks soon!) et al

Hey man! Great stuff, I would tweak maybe volumes a little bit (for example drums are way to soft for my taste)

First jungle type of beat. Drums were a pain in the ass at first to get right, spent a long time trying stuff

All tweaked now. The drums are a bit louder. All sorts of things happen when soundcloud masters the track automatically.

Nice job, Matt! I like the guitar in it, and you have a cool voice.

Thanks man. Been working hard at practice on the guitar lately (especially since I turned the TV off during the day) and am getting more confident with the vocals.

Glad you liked it!
