Anybody who knows about amps and guitar and mixing. How do I set this up? The song sounds great and the playing is decent but the guitar tone is awful

I’m really new to guitars and amps . I’m using amplitube Dr z max 18 but the tone doesn’t fit the damn song. Any advice on fixing the guitar?

Hmm I’m not sure on good jazz tones maybe make sure your using neck pickup which I’m sure you’re already doing

Figured it out man. My fretting was wrong. I was playing the upper frets of the low strings. I switched to the higher strings and played low towards the start of the frets and it sounds 50%better lol

so basically you import IR’s from that site into the vst and it models different amps automatically.. its amazing.. theyre like specialized IR files with other eq’s and things to them to match the amps theyre simulating. Trust me im not bull shitting its literally amazing and 100% … buying amp sims is no longer neccisary these days after this plugin was released

Yea bro I’m legit on it tomorrow. I’m not gonna lie.. amplitube is really good but if it’s as good as you say then I will definitely make the switch. Also it’s open source !!! You can actually see how the damn thing works lol

trust me its way better because theres also an unlimited number of IR’s you can upload… its top notch dude. it also works on vocals at 50% ill link you the IR i used for my guitar in this song
