Question if I might have Delusional Disorder instead of Schizoaffective Disorder

Correction, a person can still be diagnosed with Delusional Disorder with a bizarre delusion, as long there are no other symptoms of Schizophrenia

If your moods were extreme that would mean you either have a diagnosis of bipolar or schizoaffective, depending on if your delusions happened only with mood episode (bipolar) or anytime no matter the mood (sza). I don’t think delusional disorder would be correct diagnosis if your moods were extreme. But get a Dr’s opinion.

I apologize, I was wrong

I was so confused because my hallucinations were not prominent, I had persistent delusions only and intense moods

No worries, I also don’t have prominent hallucinations. I get voices on and off and not external audible ones but internal telepathic ones. I sometimes think they don’t qualify as voices and feel like the drs were wrong to call them “auditory” hallucinations. But I guess some voices can be internal…
