I’m falling for a woman 15 years older than me. I’m 34 and she’s 49 but she’s a wonderful human being and we get along well.
I’ll never even ask her out, but my mind is still playing out “what if I did,” scenarios.

My ex wife was 8 years older than me. It worked well for me because age difference isn’t a problem and finding partners my age is problematic as I’m sz. It’s not a bad thing dating above your age as a male. It’s just you and what you get used too. Alls I’m saying.

Why you don’t want to tell her how you feel ?
Are you scared of rejection or feeling like it wouldn’t work or that you’re not good enough for her?

She works where I’m interning and I can’t risk making things awkward while I’m there for the next 6 months. 
Plus I have a rule where I don’t ask out people who are at work or people I work with.

Then maybe ask her out when you’re about to stop your internship, so it’s not awkward and you don’t break your rule

That is sensible.
I’d say, maybe get to know her as a friend then when you’re leaving your internship you could say, hey, I’m leaving pretty soon, dyou fancy going for coffee some time, and take it from there, that might work.
I understand the whole not mixing work & pleasure things.

If shes not already friendly with you and/ or if you have to work around eachother, I wouldnt ask. Awkward if no. If youre leaving there, go ahead and ask who cares.
