For $284. I was told by one guy to put the whole collection on Ebay for $20 or $30 but I went to a coin dealer who was 5 minutes from my house and he went through the whole thing and surprised me by paying that much. I had some old pennies and foreign coins and some paper money. The guy told me it would not go up in value in 50 years so I don’t feel bad about selling it. I started it in high school and hadn’t added to it in 20 years, I actually thought I had lost it ten years ago but unbeknownst to me until two weeks ago it had been in my stepmothers attic for the last ten years. It was taking up space in my studio so I’m glad I sold it. Let someone else enjoy it now I guess.
Nice. I collect coins too. I aquired a few today. Some halves, a 1900 Canadian quarter, and some proof sets about over 50 years old. I see it as a way to save money for later as well as an interesting historical hobby. Thanks for sharing.
You made almost $300. That’s good. Save the money for a rainy day.
Nice one nick
$284 sounds like a good price. Good for you. My son has a coin collection too.
Sweet, @77nick77! That’s $284 you didn’t have before. Not a bad bonus. In our attic, we have buckets and buckets of legos. It would take someone very, very patient to pull out and put together the various sets. Some ranged upwards of $200 around 10 years ago, while others were smaller sets. I don’t know how our old fart selves will ever get them down, though. They are hella heavy!
