Guys send me good vibes because I THINK I just got reapproved for full Medicaid not just mental health coverage like they had defaulted me to.
In my state you can be “Non-title 19” And only be covered for mental health such as psychiatry and mental health medications. Or you can be Title 19 which is full medical benefits plus the mental health.
I qualified for non-title 19 back in 2020 and that qualification will be with me for life unless the laws change. However Title 19 is income based and you cant make more than $1800 or so gross per month. I am currently unemployed so I should qualify for this coverage but they’ve been a real pain to work with.
Well anyway I got a text message today stating “Medical Assistance - Enrolled - effective 07/012026” So I got really excited.
But then I called my therapist’s office and they are still showing me as non title 19 so I don’t want to celebrate yet. But he said if I JUST got the determination today it could take a few days to switch in the system. I’m like “PLEASE UNIVERSE HELP ME GET APPROVED” because I had already missed therapy twice now.
And therapy is weird. It falls under medical coverage not mental health
