I’ve worked in several department stores unloading trucks and stocking shelves, I’ve worked in a couple of restaurants, I’ve worked in a couple of warehouses, I did maintenance at a hot tub joint in the 80’s. I’ve worked doing mailing projects, I was a park ranger for 22 months. I worked doing recycling and moving furniture at HP. My ex brother-in-law hired me to watch my 12 year old nephew and help him with his homework and keep him entertained after school. I did that for about 5 months. I’ve been at my current janitor job for 14 years.
Nowadays, because of the global geopolitical issues and trade frictions, It is more difficult to do business for investors in China than it was about 10 years ago.
I worked as a customer service specialist at a McDonald’s franchise where I would monitor birthday parties, fundraisers, etc at various stores. Then I started working as an administrative assistant at a big pharma company (in their tech dept), but that turned into me working for them as a financial analyst. Now I teach very part-time.
I have a new job as a telemetry technician. I monitor patient EKG readings, up to 48 patients at a time, though not usually that many. I had four weeks of hands-on training, yet I’m terrified about being on my own for the first time tomorrow. I sure hope it goes okay.
