I started off as a dishwasher in a family restaurant and got promoted to cook two months later. I worked there for a total of three months and then quit over something stupid. I was making minimum wage which was $2.65 an hour.

My mom was a switchboard operator at the hotel that the politicians in my state, used to stay at, across from the Capitol. They used to have these balls and dinners. They paid me cash to be a coat checker. I probably only weighed about 110 pounds. They had heavy coats and fur coats, I could barely hang them up.

Ive had a couple dozen different jobs over the years. Started taking care of a big property first. Like watering cycads and mowing huge amounts of land with a big ride-on lawn mower when i was like 12 or 13 or something. Was pretty good. Made like ten Australian dollars per hour. But my first ever official job where I paid tax and stuff was at kfc when I was 16. I moved out of home at 16 and lived alone while working at kfc. Went psychotic later that year for the first time. But yeah ive worked as a dishy, kitchen hand, gardener, chocolate factory, butcher factory place, fishing bait business, big department stores packing shelves at night and a bunch of other jobs. Every single time I ended the job badly. So I have no good references for future work haha.
Supermarket stocking shelves
I started babysitting at 10 years old. My first job at an establishment I started the summer after 8th grade as a hostess for a restaurant
SuperKmart as a trolley boy. Not smart enough in the entrance exam but nailed the interview as I’ve always done since because I’m a people person. So it was Like Aussie pre Wallmart idea where you had a kmart and a coles grocery together. Didn’t work as they had a whole new manager structure so they split the store and I moved on to madness!
I think I was 14, the youngest age for legal work in my state, and I worked at a Pizza Hut call center taking orders for delivery.
A lot of punks and other outsiders from the regional high schools worked there because the managers didn’t care if you had weird clothes and dyed hair. The customers never saw you. It was all over the phone haha!
I mowed lawns and shoveled snow. My mom was an apartment manager and I helped the maintenance guy. I did this around age 12.
