Why is it so hard?

I’m such a terrible failure. each time I have to go out I freeze and can’t cope with the idea let alone the steps I need to take. hubby doesn’t understand and sometimes gets upset with me. but how do I explain how hard it is? and why is it so hard??

it’s like I have no motivation and cognitive skills or something…I can’t seem to grasp the steps needed and implement them. why oh why??? even house chores is like this. it’s like the only thing I have energy for is reading and drinking coffee…

Anyone else relate?

I think I get it, pretty low motivation in relation to most things. But it is just the broken brain doing what it can or is willing to. For me it ia at best either instant gratification or just laying around. If you have something meaningful to pass time with, thank your luck. No need to feel guilty or punish yourself if there is a brain based problem behind it all. :brain: :broken_chain:

I can relate. My cognition isn’t what it used to be pre diagnosis. The rest of what you’re experiencing could also be negative symptoms too. I have those really bad also.

Take care. - Monte

I’m not sure if I should say something here. I think maybe I can relate. You said somewhere that you were on Amisulpride 500mg. I had been on Amisulpride 200mg for nearly 10 years. This med is good for cognition but I got extreme fatigue from it. I was fine in the morning and did reading , but at noon and in the afternoon I was tired to the point of fainting. Definitely was overwhelmed and could do nothing. Every house chore was a stuggle, whether it’s cooking or grocery shopping.
