Work is bringing out my more defensive side

I’m a temp. I don’t know if they are unhappy with my performance but I don’t want it to affect my chances of getting another assignment. Today I was on my break, the supervisor on duty told me to go ahead and clock out. I drive home to get lunch without thinking about it. (/My break is an hour and home is 15min away ) Put my phone down and take my break. My supervisor was on the property and clocked in but the property manager called me I guess while I was on break and I didn’t hear my phone. I guess she had gotten upset with me for not answering my phone and said it was because there was a resident waiting, but I didn’t understand why she didn’t call my supervisor who was there and permanent?! There was another instance on Friday where they had called while I was on break saying that a vendor was there waiting for me, my supervisor was off but did not tell me anyone was coming that day however, I had not yet been given anyone’s number yet. I was getting calls from unknown numbers until they finally texted me. There must be something with my phone that is forwarding their calls. I make sure to call back.. I’m not sure why they are upset with my performance. I have done everything they have told me to do. I never show my butt for lack of better words, I think it’s weak. I may get upset but not really behind closed doors but I’m more upset that she yelled at me and I’m a whole grown adult. I hate that I code switch. Wish I could’ve cussed her out.

I think since you don’t get phone calls as they come in you should take your breaks on site. I mean, that is, if you want to be able to get another assignment and want to appease them.

Yeah I think I’m gonna not answer the call and take my hour break because she disrespected me. The temp agency gets paid just for me being there.

this is never acceptable. completely unprofessional on their part. Some people are so full of themselves

You have the right to take your break in peace

Yeah I just decided that if she really needs me that bad I’m going to let her call my supervisor I don’t even know if I want to work there full-time if they ask
