Seems like Invega has given out for me. Now to find a new med. Have you ever had one quit working?
Have you ever tried the newer ones like aripiprazole/Abilify
Yeah I’ve had injections of Abilify before. Didn’t really help.
Sorry to hear that man, it’s been a life changing medicine for me.
Sorry @Mars your going through this. Ive had caplyta stop working and I havent found one that truly works yet. Im on uzedy, clozaril and vraylar now
I’ve never had one quit on me. I have reduced or stopped meds and then lost it but never had a med quit on me. I only quit on them. Hopefully that will never happen again.
Good luck on the new med search @Mars .
What was the medication you take @jukebox? Fluphenazine was it? I have a bottle of that in the cabinet.
yes generic prolixin…fluphenazine…do not take that bottle of pills…get it prescribed by a pdoc.
I took one before you posted. 2.5 mg low dose. Won’t do that again. Been anxious about side effects. Almost been 3 hours so I think I’m fine.
that’s why I’m on this med…you never have any side effects…no sexual side effects…I lost all my extra weight on this med. it’s so great…I hope you get on this med…I love it and will never change.
I had no side effects from it. Gonna ask my pdoc about it next visit.
When I took Risperdal in 2005 it led to a complete remission for five years after I stopped taking it in 2007. It was marvellous.
But last year when I changed from amisulpride to Risperdal, hoping to keep the costs down (amisulpride is so expensive!) Risperdal only worked for two months then I got a relapse again.
It could have just been that my relapse was inevitable or maybe the Risperdal wasn’t working anymore.
So now I’m back on amisulpride. It’s the best med for me, even though my relapses still come. If I increase the amisulpride it helps me out of each relapse like it did early this month after a two month long one.
Yeah too bad they quit working sometimes. This one was working great for a while.
