Daily Sickness - it IS the Aripiprazole

I reckon my locum doctor left the trust because he didn’t want a lawsuit against him. But I’m certain the daily sickness I’ve experienced since April ‘23 was because of Aripiprazole.

The only doctor I saw who told me what was going on was that acid was building up possibly from caffeine. But I won’t stop using caffeine therefore the psychiatrist purposely put me through suffering just to not bother with taking me off the injection.

I’m offended and hurt because I’m absolutely certain it’s the antipsychotic causing this. I’m going to ring the caseworker tomorrow and I really want to sue them for negligence but I won’t do that because i know they deal with this sort of practicing and it’s beyond my control

I’m confused, so your doctor told you it was caffeine causing it, and you won’t stop using caffeine? How does this relate to Abilify?

The psychiatrist didn’t say anything, the doctor from the hospital said it. The psychiatrist said, that the aripiprazole isn’t responsible for it

Oh okay. APs can cause all sorts of weird stuff so you are probably right. I don’t think you can sue them though.

In the UK you can, NHS medical negligence is a very common thing

Ah ok I’m in the US so you know how that goes

He would have had to cause you damage beyond some kind of discomfort to get any kind of serious recompense

Making an existing condition worse than it already is, is enough here in the UK (discomfort counts)

I know when I was a nurse in the United States we had protocols. As long as we stuck to the protocols and did what a prudent nurse would do then people couldn’t sue us. Hope you feel better.

Caffeine relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter, this coupled with certain foods can exacerbate acid reflux.

I have a case at the moment for medical negligence. It’s been going on over 2 years now. My son almost died and had brain damage because of incompetence of NHS. And I was left with damage due to giving birth. Should have been a c section.

That being said I don’t think you could sue for this sort of thing. It was hard for me to do it and it was a life and death situation.
