Emotional eating

I’ve been extra hungry since not working. I think I’m emotionally eating. I keep eating 2000 calories per day which for me means weight gain. I really need to pull it together. I’m obese and I don’t want to get bigger. I’ve been bigger before and I lose my face when I get that big. I hate that. But also, I want to be healthy and obesity is unhealthy.

Thats really difficult. And it’s something people simply don’t understand.

Is there anything you can do?

I spend too much on food and stuff because I get bored. Need to cut back and find healthier ways to help my emotions.

i used to be in the camp that believed its all about calories and i still do think it is mostly that especially if someone is like 300+ plus pounds but for people who are mobile exercise does play a huge part. I used to think it was all about dieting but the proof is in the pudding. The only time i have been thin is when i was working out like crazy

Same. I eat a single meal per day and will gain weight. It’s only since exercising again that the scales are moving down.

id say its about 50/50 maybe… for most people atleast. IF someone weighs 600 lbs then its mostly about diet. But for someone whos trying to lose up to like 50lbs id say exercise plays a huge part. the closer to your goal you are the more exercise is important because it your overeating by 5000 calories a day then you cant work off the extra calories… but if your eating just 500 calories a day extra and you cant seem to eat less, then you can burn the 500 calories off with exercise.

My 45min session each morning burns around 600cals. Then I wont eat my meal til around 3pm. Before starting this exercise, my weight was progressively increasing.

I remember when still boxing many years ago, I was eating thousands of cals per day and remained slim  I miss them days.
